Water main flushing is one of the methods we use to improve and maintain water quality to ensure clean and clear water is delivered to our customers.Flushing forces water through pipes at high speeds to clean and remove sediment that can cause water to appear discolored.
When our service personnel are flushing the lines in your area, you may notice a decrease in water pressure or discolored water - both of which are temporary. Customers are encouraged to let their water run from an outside spigot for a few moments to flush their private lines of any discolored water.
